I am looking, primarily, for political articles. I want to find the truth about the political stories of the day. I have yet to see any of this. I don’t care about collagen and it’s health benefits, I want to know what is going on within our newly elected administration.
I've been getting the Tangle newsletter written by Isaac Saul. It's all politics and takes the approach of telling you what both (all) sides are saying in order to let you make your own assessment.
It's a subscription-based newsletter and is worth checking out.
Thank you. I felt really suspicious of the whole non-bias claim and decided to try to look a little bit deeper. I feel that everyone has an agenda, even if it is to create as unbiased a new source as possible. I appreciate your insights and I will take them in consideration.
I didn’t mean to dissuade you from reading anything. But I do think you have better uses for your time.
I will never forget how you approached me after I gave a talk at the 1991 AMA Medical Communications Conference and asked me to submit my talk for publication in JAMA. You called me “Dr. Schwitzer.” I told you that I didn’t have an advanced degree and I’d understand if you wanted to retract your offer. But you said my degree didn’t matter, that this should be published. And so it was: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/396389
I was thinking of using this site as one of my main sources of information, I'm one of the aforementioned Americans who is tired of worrying about if I'm misinformed or not. Thanks for the thorough review of the site!

Thank you for this thoughtful and educational analysis. The IsItLegit infographic should be taught in schools everywhere to help our kids understand the difference between social media and news reporting.
I found 1440 to be biased through omission. Check out their story on the "Maryland Man". They left out all the pertinent facts about gang membership, beating his wife, trafficking illegals, etc. I have seen no follow up. There is a definite lean to the other stories.
I agree, I find they soften their language and omit or rephrase source material. I want to believe this is a heavy-handed attempt at neutrality, but it comes off as subtle bias. That, coupled with the lack of transparency, gives me concern.

Thanks for your note, Beth. You’re touching on some of the same issues that have jumped out at me about this newsletter.

Thx for your in-depth research and input. I will stick with Substack
Thanks Gary. I wont bother with 1440 for now.

And on health care topics, I would direct readers to the 10 criteria that my HealthNewsReview.org project used to review and grade more than 3,600 media messages from 2006-2018. Details at: https://garyschwitzer.substack.com/p/a-call-for-healthy-skepticism-to
I'm researching 1440 and came across your article. 1440 was recommended to me as a good news source by my maga cousin. Perhaps not.
