More Makary malarkey
Braggadocio. BS. Balderdash.
It’s never a good sign about a person’s leadership when he has to continuously publicly congratulate himself about what a great job he’s doing.
At the top of FDA Commissioner Marty Makary’s page on the X social media platform is this:
And below that yesterday he posted this:
Some of these claims are utter BS.
Who are these 1,000 new scientists being - and I hate this term - “onboarded”?
What “cures” have you accelerated?
How hypocritical to list “allowing real world evidence” when your expert panels so far have stifled much real world evidence.
Telling the truth on HRT for women? Read my earlier coverage of this:
Removing food dyes? Read my earlier coverage of this:
And this Makary machismo?
Read my earlier coverage of just one aspect of the “new leadership and a new era of innovation” in the FDA.
Here is some of the pushback Makary received from readers for his braggadocio on yesterday’s X post:
Why do you have to hire 1,000 new scientists?
Sorry, Dr. Makary. Many of us feel that under Trump’s leadership you did not hit the target.
You and your team have dismantled one of the best American organisations. No organisation is perfect, but under your leadership the regression is clear to see.
What you’ve done is an embarrassment and completely unnecessary.
Is this a joke?
If it is, it’s a sick joke.

I read today that HHS will be further 'revising' the childhood vaccine schedule to align with Denmark's schedule. Good job security for pediatricians who will have to take care of more sick kids whose illnesses could have been prevented. Great time to be a virus!
The lying propaganda machine with this administration is unbelievable. The fact that millions of Americans get only this false news is the problem. The truth is out there but the average guy struggling to survive and only watching faux news and truth central will continue to be deluded as they fall further and further behind. This ignorance has terrible consequences for all of us. Thanks for your continued reporting.
